If you have chosen a Kadence template then the builder you will be using is the Gutenberg/block builder. Your template should have installed the Kadence blocks editor also (this gives you more blocks to work with, with more advanced features). You can check if you have this installed by going to Plugins > Installed Plugins and you can check that you have “Kadence Blocks” installed. If not, then follow the plugin installation guide and search for “Kadence blocks.” Please note that there is also the option to use AI to build your site now instead of choosing a template. Kadence AI in action
Kadence has recently created an AI builder. It’s pretty remarkable! It does have some downsides but it’s a great way to get started very quickly and easily. It only uses a few templates at the time of writing and filming but I watched an interview today with the Kadence developer and they plan on having over 30 by the end of 2024.
Before Starting with Kadence AI
- Get a free Kadence account by going to https://www.kadencewp.com/pricing/ and clicking on Free and following the steps.
- Make sure that you are logged into Kadence before starting your AI site on WordPress. Your site will want to connect to Kadence and be logged in already will make it much easier.
If you get an error when it tries to connect then troubleshoot by:
a. refreshing the page
b. making sure you are logged into Kadence first
c. checking the number of credits you have is sufficient (see below)
d. if you’re still having a problem please get in touch - Be aware that you have a limited number of AI credits so use them wisely. This page shows you how many credits each action will use. If you’re not sure how many credits you have remaining, you can refer to the “Checking your credit balance” section on the same page.
